I don`t know anybody who does not like to travel. There are people who have never tried travelling but after the first trip they usually want to continue. I started travelling just after earning my first money. And now I am a big fan of travelling. I would appreciate a trip to some beautiful place more than any piece of jewelry, fur coat or IPhone.
As many other beginners I started with tourist group travelling. This kind of travelling may have some advantages. For example, travelers save a lot of time because travel agencies arrange everything. They define the route, book tickets and hotels, prepare visa applications, etc. But after several trips with tourist groups I felt that it was not enough for me. I needed more freedom and flexibility. So, I started to travel independently. Every trip gives me a lot of impressions and inspiration. As independent traveler I have the opportunity to visit unusual places which are not included into guided tours. For example, I discovered very special place in Vienna this summer.
What do people usually visit in Vienna? Museums, galleries, palaces, concert halls, cafes and so on. I also visited all these places. But one day I spent at a public swimming pool. And that was great to have a break between museums and galleries. The swimming pool is situated in the park of Schönbrunn Palace in the center of the city. Thousands of tourists visit Schönbrunn Palace every day. But very few of them know that there is a swimming pool right in the Palace`s park. The swimming pool is called Schönbrunner Bad. It is large and comfortable. It has everything to please visitors: changing rooms, showers, lockers for clothing and other belongings, sunbeds, special swimming area for children, café with snacks and even little fountain with drinking water. It is a very nice place to relax, swim and sunbath. And it is not crowded on working days. I was very glad to bring from Vienna traditional chocolates and coffee and slight suntan as well.
There is a saying that one day of travelling may give you more impressions than the whole year at home. I totally agree. The memories of my day at Schönbrunner Bad are bright and warming. I wish to visit it again someday.
