What do you buy when you want something tasty to enjoy? Some people can`t imagine their life without chocolates and candies. Others prefer cakes or ice-cream.  Children often ask for potato chips. I can pass by such kind of stuff without any mouthwatering. But there is one thing which makes me desire it crazily. I confess that I`m sunflower seeds addict. I have my favorite brand in red wrapping. It is noticeable and recognizable in every shop.

I tried to quit my addiction several times but did not succeed. Eating sunflower seeds helps me to relax when I`m tired or under stress. When I`m in a good mood I would like to have some sunflower seeds to feel even better. Other sunflower seeds lovers will understand me. So, I established some rules which make my addiction enjoyable and not so harmful.

1.       I eat sunflower seeds at home in my kitchen where nobody can see me and not to make garbage outside or in public places. Usually I do it while reading a book or watching a movie. I can do it with my close friends or relatives. If I eat sunflower seeds with people it means that I trust them and can show my small secrets.

2.       I prefer unpeeled sunflower seeds. Peeling them has calming and relaxing effect. I really enjoy the process.

3.       I use my fingers not teeth to peel sunflower seeds. Their peels are quite hard and can damage teeth.  And I want my teeth to be healthy and strong. Also the good idea is to clean teeth after eating sunflower seeds.

4.       I always buy the smallest package of sunflower seeds in order not to eat too much. Sunflower seeds are rich in vitamins and minerals, especially in vitamins E and B1 and copper. But at the same time they contain a lot of fat and calories. So, eating sunflower seeds is healthy but eating too much of them may cause stomach ache and weight gain.

There is a saying that the most enjoyable things in life are either illegal or immoral or fattening. My idea is that we can find a balance and enjoy things without breaking law and moral rules or gaining weight.
